I sensi sono cinque e la stimolazione del corpo avvine attraverso tutti e cinque, da saper sapientemente dosare. I tempi di conoscenza del corpo non coincidono con quelli della mente. Studiare il corpo non è come studiare una pagina di un qualsiasi libro. Per questo, infatti, si sono create divisioni fra lavori intellettuali e manuali e la specializzazione del mondo contemporaneo può far prevalere l’uno sull’altro.

Da sportiva, ho oggi un consumo bassissimo di alcol, avendolo avuto più alto in passato, quando la mia vita sociale passava prevalentemente da un brindisi a un altro e la relazione intima iniziava quasi sempre a tavola.

Svilupperò un percorso attraverso i cinque sensi. In questo momento ospito le ricette dei cocktail creati da me dopo un corso da bartender così come ospito in tutto il mio sito ricette per sportivi. Il tema dell’alcol e della salute è stato sfiorato in un articolo, ma tornerò con approfondimenti sull’alcol e lo sport, la vita sociale, quindi la sessualità.

IL GUSTO – SPIRITS & WINES

Da sempre amante dei sapori e dei profumi, cresciuta in una terra con grande tradizione enogastronomica, nipote di un produttore di lambrusco e moscato in terre modenesi e figlia di un produttore, per passione, di nocino, amante dell’aceto balsamico, ho allenato l’olfatto ed il gusto fin dall’infanzia.

Ricordo il primo bicchiere di vino forse all’età di 7 anni. Non ricordo quando, esattamente, ho bevuto il primo cocktail, probabilmente come aperitivo ad uno dei tanti matrimoni. Ho bevuto il primo whisky (torbato) con ghiaccio a parte all’università, con un amico, in una serata di riflessioni più o meno esistenziali sulla vita.

Da sempre apprezzo la lavorazione e la mixology. Il vin brulè è forse il primo contatto che ho avuto con l’elaborazione di un “alcolico”. Da adolescente ho iniziato a frequentare eventi, apprezzando la vocazione socializzante dei cocktail che ben si prestano ai locali serali in cerca di leggerezza e spensieratezza, trasportati da luci e onde sonore. Nei fine settimana ho lavorato in qualche locale e sperimentato la caffetteria. La scorsa estate ho deciso di frequentare un corso professionalizzante presso la European Bartender School.

Sono un’artista a tutto tondo ed esprimo la mia creatività in tutti e cinque i sensi.

Degustare, apprezzare, individuare le differenze è quella prima fase analitica, che mi permette poi di creare e costruire. Dei cocktail amo la costruzione del gusto, la gestualità e scenografia connesse e le emozioni generate. Amo anche il bancone, gli aperitivi spensierati in vacanza o defatiganti fuori dall’ufficio, le ore piccole, le confidenze fatte a tarda notte.  I cocktail, tramite il gusto, risvegliano emozioni profonde, stimolano la fantasia, liberano pulsioni e passioni, rappresentano momenti di libera espressione e riconciliazione dell’anima, soprattutto se accompagnati da ottima musica in un ambiente cutato nei dettagli.

Qui di seguito i miei cocktail a vocazione “glocal”.

Molinari Neige (my personal creation, submitted to Bartendency)

  • Sambuca Molinari Extra: 0,5
  • Wild Turkey or other comfortable whiskey: 2 OZ
  • Vanilla Ice cream: 3 balls
  • Coffee Powder: wide spread

Method: dry shake, shake and fine strain Garnish: coffe powder

Bitter Redbull Energy Drink (my personal creation)

For all those ones who claim the excessive sweetness of Redbull, you can follow my recipe hereunder to enjoy a bitter version. EASY and FAST for any bartender in any disco:
  • 1/3 di Campari
  • 1/3 di Rhum Bianco
  • 1/3 di Redbull
Cubed ice and cherry
Printemps (my personal creation, submitted to A’Design)
  • 2/3 Prosecco (brut, dry, extra dry)
  • 1/3  St.Germain
  • Pomegranate grains
  • 1/2 OZ pomegranate or rose liqueur (depending on the Prosecco sweetness)

  • 1 1/2 OZ GIN (better Hendrick’s, Geranium or Bordiga)
  • 1/4 Campari
  • 1/2 Cointreau
  • 1 1/2 pomegranate fresh juice
  • Amanda for Gentlemen

Amanda for Gentlemen (my personal creation, submitted to A’Design)

  • 1 1/2 OZ GIN (better Hendrick’s, Geranium or Bordiga)
  • 1/4 Campari
  • 1/2 Grand Marnier
  • 1 1/2 pomegranate fresh juice

Balsamic Healing (my personal creation, submitted to A’Design)

  • Glass : chilled glass cocktail, Method : Shake and fine strain and sink, no ice.
  • Cognac : 1 1/2 oz
  • Cointreau : ½ oz
  • Whipped Cream or Vanilla Ice Cream : 1 ½
  • Balsamic Vingar aged at least 7 years : ½ or ¾ at the barman and client discretion

This cocktail uses luxury ingredients, first of all Basamic vinegar, combined in refined unique way.

Wild Cinnamon (my personal creation, submitted to A’Design)

Glass : Lowball or rocks, Method : build and stir

  • Cinnamon Liqueur (from Frosinone) : ¾ oz
  • Cointreau : ¼ oz
  • Bourbon : 1 1/2 oz

Garnish: Orange slice with cinnamon steak and cloves (chiodi di garofano)

Dulcet Hills (my personal creation, submitted to A’Design)

Glass : Lowball or rocks, Method : build and stir slowly

  • Nocino (walnuts liqueur from Reggio Emilia/Modena better the cloves and cinnamon flavoured version) : ¾ oz
  • Gran Marnier : ¼ oz
  • Bourbon : 1 1/2 oz

Garnish : Orange slice with cinnamon steak and cloves (chiodi di garofano)

COCOMERO AND CUCUMBER (my personal summer creation to refresh taste)

  • Water melon (cocomero) and cucumber (cetriolo)
  • St. Germain: 1 OZ
  • Vodka: 3/4 OZ

II-8/Nutrition for Sexuality

Yes, food impacts on sexuality, therefore and enhanced nutrion has positive impact. Basically, a good sexual activity is based on the virtuous connection of heart and mind, with great circulation, therefore an enhanced nutrition taking care for this connection, is the base of a good sexual activity.

To this, we have to add digestion. Heavy digestion does not favour sex performances. For this reason simple strategies such as fennel, coriander and gene we seeds are great.

That said, some food have stimulating impact on senses, stimulating sexual activity as immediate consequence. Pfeffer is always a great activator and some herbs such as mint an basil are senses relaxators. Nutmeg works very well on mind, but its effect are delayed of some hours, therefore at least a couple of hours need to pass before you really get the relaxing effect of nutmeg on senses. If you are planning a dinner with nutmeg, usually eaten as dessert, consider that you will not perceive it immediately as it happens with cocoa.

For all these reasons, a good sexual activity is granted by a life style that respects certain rules. Then, having a dinner might be difficult, as you share personality and sociality.

Sex performance itself simply needs body and mind preparation and self esteem. Seduction and fashion usually compensate a lack of sport and nutrition, as you need more to get your body activate. Seduction and fashion are very strong within limited social frameworks
and play an important role to arrange the meeting. Fashion is usually leader in offices, on trains or in any place where people are obliged by circumstances to pass a certain amount of time. In that framework fashion is the leading factor to sexual meeting. When you meet somoene you do not know since long time, body becomes leading. As sex is the most physical aspect inside a relationship, the very last word is to bodies and their chemistry or compatibility.

The reason why male escort can have sex performances with paying women despite attraction is that – save for the fact that money itself is a like a superfood for the mind – then, practically, they have high testosterone level and a trained and well sculpted body. Body sculpting is not possible with the wrong nutrition, as the result would be a strong muscled body with excessive fat. Usually, the belly speaks for everybody. Flat belly is a guarantee of good nutrition and training.
As far as food are concerned, all superfoods stimulating circulation, such as ginseng, guarana, pure cocoa, combined with minerals and enzymes such as zinc – oysters and tuna are full of this mineral – and Q10, then with fish, rich in Omega 3 and 6, then with certain nuts, such as walnuts and peanuts, are afrodisiac. Antioxidant are afrodisiac, too, keeping the brain well function and reactive. A list? Yes, a list of afrodisiac food is possible, then the application is up to you, as it all depends on your sexual activity:
how often do you practice, which is your partner, how and where you usually practice sexuality. It is obvious that when you have an enhanced body, you can practice anywhere and in any moment, benefiting from the daily nutrition. It is frustrating when you are in couple and you can not enjoy sex with the person you love: that is the demonstration that mind, fashion and feelings are a lot, but not enough.
Whatever the side you take it, sex needs a good connection body and mind in both people having sex, otherwise you will have one of the couple being more exingent and staying unfulfilled, generating frustration on the other one. Therefore sex must be seen by various point of views.

Back to nutrition, energy drinks, too, are good for sex, as they have in their formula activators of neurons and energy, such as glucoronolactone and taurine. When it goes on sex, you can not waste time in long digestion, you need energy ready in your blood for the performance and a well pumping heart, with a relaxed mind, not blood engaged in digestion. A stressed mind needs serotonine and dopamine and antioxidant, then for example cocoa and berries have this effect. Pizza and heavy carbohydrates should be avoided for digestive reasons. Complicated food leads to complicate digestion. Many traditional recipes lead to heavy breathing, heavy smell, heavy digestion.
Sweets, usually, stimulates and give the glucose for the sexual activity. Many foods are sweet without being sweets, for example shrimps, chickpeas, soy, peas, pumpkin, coconut, sweet potatoes. If you daily intake sweet food, decreasing sugar itself, and limiting salt, you will have a sweeter body smell and taste, rather than acid, that contributes to sex alchemy with any partner. Salty, meat and milky daily nutrition needs a tuned partner as smokers need partners accepting smoke.
Also from a psychological point of view, desserts are usually banned from diets, therefore having sweets before a sexual meeting is a relaxing factor for a stressed mind. Eating desserts before a meeting requires to have a good body shape, as a heavy belly is never good for sex. Anise is one of the best spices to prepare stomach and breathing. It can be taken with coffee, cocoa and peanuts at the end of a dinner. In the recipes of this book, a warm drink good for sex is a cappuccino with protein cream, plus anise and peanuts. Very digestive, as sweet as necessary, stimulating and offering energy ready to use. A good smoothie with ginger, coconut, pineapple, grapes is also very energetic and immediately stimulating. Basically, virgin cocktails are great before sex as they give energy and hydration without engaging in long digestion. Even a crepes is a nice light meal, stimulating as much as needed to say some words to introduce people. I personally love nuts and small appetizers with fish and selected veggies and fruits. Sushi is a solution to many people, but it is cold. Warm food is more stimulating. Even warm pop corn are more tasty than cold ones as temperature matters, even in summer. Among first courses, usually, “ravioli” are the best solution: fresh egg pasta filled with great inside, easy to eat, tasty and easy to digest.
Meat has zinc, which is very important for senses perception, but not necessary for the sexual meeting itself, as it is stored in the body, therefore you can have your nutrion based on zinc regularly, not connecte to the event, for which you better need superfoods and energy drinks or desserts and fish. Alcohol is usually both a friend and an enemy, as it is deceiving, working primarily on the mind, getting relaxation throughout confusion of senses, – the contrary of zinc, superfood and antioxidants, – if you get over a certain soil where the will is delayed together with senses. Alcohol should be usually balanced by nuts and milky food during a meal, otherwise you will have sex, that maybe you would have not had for psychological barriers, but you will not have a good quality of sex. I personally experienced sex in all ways and I can confirm that a good body is preliminary to any situation. I have always been healthy, practising sport, taking care of beauty, therefore being not well sculpted did not play, as a woman, a difference to pleasure itself. Having a sculpted body made me become more exigent and the paradox is that, while my body is always ready, my mind is currently less easygoing. Never problem with self-sex. For this reason, as a woman, I had a lot of partners and I could have sex with whoever my mind decides to have it, as my body is always supporting.
I usually have superfood for intellectual job and that is fine for sex, too. I usually have integrators for training, and that it fine for sex, too. I usually have energy drinks to drive during the night and that is fine for sex. On the contrary I have to admit that those nights I had sex after too much alcohol, then the day after I felt heavy and needed to detox from both: alcohol and sex memories. Alcohol brings weakness, as you know you need it, to get relaxed and to see your partner smarter than he really is or to feel yourself at ease as you would not, otherwise. Your deep inner soul will be back to you after alcohol has gone away. I currently do not drink alcoholic, if not occasionally.

For these reasons, the choice of what to eat, exactly, and when is very personal. It all goes on the specific situation, but, for sure, food helps sexual activity. It is a fact.

Psychologically, you should not stay there counting minutes after the meal to verify if it is true that the food is afrodisiac, as the overwhelming control of the mind seriously inhibites body performances as in any sport competition. In these cases, self awareness is the only solution for a successful sexual life: you must feel relaxed because you respected the minimum rules and accept that any sexual meeting has an uncontrollable aspect, which is also the reason why we all love having sex.

What about sex in the morning, without eating? It is like training without breakfast: you do it only thanks to what you have stored and built up to that moment. Even in stable couples, it is usually a physical need, rather than the consequence of feelings, words, it is shorter, without seduction, with short preliminaries: the demonstration that what matters for a basic sexual performance is the nutrition you have daily, for special events you need to prepare.

Last but not least, a good sexual activity needs a strong metabolism, as the contact with other people brings bacteria and causes small wounds. The contact of skin and fluids with more partners needs a nutrion based on antioxidant and antinflammation foods, repairing immediately and defending against mycosis, such as Candida albicans, which affects even the pleasure. If you have a stable partner, it all should be easier as you have accepted body and mind limits and compromised with pleasure, but if you have different partners, accuracy to nutrition and sport should be higher, as you will not feel like compromising that much and will never have a honest feedback from the partner, which you must have from a stable partner as confirmation of the couple, daily.
